Translator – Singapore or Myanmar

Role Title: Translator

Start Date:13th April 2020

Location:Singapore or Myanmar

Time Requirement: Full Time, 13th April 2020 – 29th May 2020

Asia is the biggest contributor to post-consumer waste mismanagement in the world. GA Circular is a sustainability consultancy and project implementation partner on a mission to tackle post-consumer waste in Asia. Our vision is to create a world without waste.

We help companies design business strategies, implement pilots to recycle post-consumer waste and create closed loop supply chains so that nothing goes to waste. Our work enables our clients to become attractive to investors and loved by consumers. We have worked with clients such as an FMCG company in India, Danone in Indonesia, Dole Foods in the Philippines, National Environment Agency in Singapore, Unilever in Vietnam and Coca-Cola across various ASEAN countries. We have recently launched a report providing a systematic and comparable baseline for collection rates of PET bottles in Southeast Asia.

This research project studies packaging waste, understanding how many tons of packaging waste ends up in landfills, environmental leakage, and in recycling. This project then compiles potential strategies and solutions to best address the waste management and material recycling issues faced. Through this research project and the recommendations from it to key stakeholders such as FMCG companies and the government, we hope to promote better waste management practices, and enhance the quality of life of local people.
